Objective To discuss the clinical curative effect of acupuncture treatment on Guillian-Barre syndrome (GBS), and to provide references for clinical practice.
Method The CNKI, VIP and Wan Fang Data were searched electronically. The End Note X7 software was used for duplicate checking. After screening, 9 reports were selected. The quality of reports was assessed according to Jadad quality scoring method, and was Meta-analysised using Rev Man 5. 2 software Cochrane provided.
ResultsThe studies homogeneity test results showed: χ2=4. 45, df=8, P=0. 81, I2=0% (P≥0. 1, I2<50%), so choose the fixed effects model to analysis. OR=3. 31, Z=5. 29, P<0. 00001, the results suggested that the curative effect of experimental was better than the control group.
Conclusion Current evidence suggests that the therapeutic effect of acupuncture on Guillian-Barre syndrome was good, but the researches incorporated in this study are low quality, limited sample size, so it needs more scientific and standardization clinical randomized controlled trials to further verify its effectiveness.
